LAKERS RAISE MONEY FOR AMERICAN RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF FUND

In a recent game versus the Chicago Bulls, The Lakers organization, Lakers Girls and Lakers fans all pitched in to raise money for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The money will be used to provide shelter, meals, health and mental health support for those affected by the recent Southern California Wildfires.
The contributions began with a generous cash donation from the Lakers. The Lakers proudly continued their tradition of assisting the people of Southern California by making a $100,000 donation. Eugenia Chow, Director of Lakers Community Relations was on-hand to present the check to Paul Schultz, CEO of the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles and Larry Paul, Vice Chair of the American Red Cross’ Board of Governors. At half time, Lakers fans contributed by bidding on Lakers memorabilia during the Game Night Auction. The proceeds of last night’s auction, along with the proceeds from the remaining November auctions, will go directly to the Disaster Relief Fund. After the game, The Lakers Girls contributed to the cause by holding an autograph session. For a minimum donation of $5, fans had a chance to meet the girls and receive autographs. The Lakers Girls autograph session raised an additional $1600 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund!
The American Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Fund stands ready to pay for the unique and vital services that Americans depend on during times of crisis. You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year, by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
